Sealing sheet
Sealing sheets are made of synthetic fibers and rubber. The sealing sheets guarantee stable technical parameters in various fields of application, as they are designed with good mechanical and sealing qualities. Standard gasket sheets are used for general purposes and are well suited for applications with less requirements unlike the more durable oil-resistant sealing sheet and some technical rubbers. The maximum working temperature of the gasket sheet is 150 °C. The jointing sheets are designed for technical seals in a wide range of pressures and temperatures, working in different working conditions. Sealing sheet can usually be told apart by their colour, as the green colour usually indicates the gasket sheet is water-resistant and the blue colour is reserved for the oil-resistant gasket sheet.
Sealing sheets find their application in some of these areas:
- used for steam, water, air, non-aggressive surroundings, neutral and mineral gases, salt solutions, liquid and gaseous ammonia, alcohol
- for general use
- shipbuilding
- the water supply
- the automotive industry
- chemical plants
- pads
- for technical seals
- refineries
- hydraulic and fuel systems
- used with light and heavy petroleum products
