Description
Teflon PTFE tube is made of extruded pure Teflon. Teflon pipes have excellent dielectric properties and a low coefficient of friction. PTFE hose has excellent resistance to chemical products and high temperature resistance. Teflon hoses are safe in contact with food products. An alternative to the Teflon PTFE tube is PTFE rod, which can be machined into custom sizes.
The main advantages of PTFE sheets are:
- Non-flammability – its surface is not sticky and does not ignite
- Very high density
- High heat resistance
- Very low water absorption
- Lowest coefficient of friction of all solid materials
- Excellent insulator
- Excellent hydrophobicity
- Resistant to the action of an electric arc; oxygen, ozone; UV rays
- Suitable for the food industry
- Resistance to aging even at high temperatures and in the presence of solvents, oils, oxidizers and others
- High electrical strength
Areas of application
- for gas, acids and solvents transferring
- food industry
- military industry
- medical industry
- pharmaceutical industry
- for the transfer of compressed air, water, oils and some fluids for hydraulics and pneumatics
- in electric machines powered by direct or alternating current
- water and oil submersible electric motors
- for insulation of wires in different climatic conditions
- for electrical and radio technical devices
- for the production of blood vessels, prostheses, catheters
- others
