Description

Polystyrene (GPPS) is a transparent sheet material with low levels of deformation before breaking and good impact resistance. Also called polystyrol (PS), it is extremely suitable in low-budget scenarios where high-quality work is still required. GPPS sheets have extremely low levels of water absorption and is chemically resistant. Polystyrene sheets are extremely easy to process, and the material allows remelting when making different details. Another advantage of PS plates is their low weight, which allows the use of the boards in places that require light-weight structures. An important benefit of the GPPS sheet is its resistance to UV rays, extending the life of the material and guaranteeing higher durability compared to other alternatives. Other options to PS sheets can be either Plexiglass plates (PMMA) or Polycarbonate sheet (PC), both of which have different benefits.
