Description
Polyamides are some of the most important technical plastics. Compared to other thermoplastics, polyamide has a high moisture absorption of up to 3 % in a normal atmosphere. This increases the impact strength. Even better values can be obtained through conditioning (heating in a water bath) for a specific duration and at a specific temperature. However, conditioning can also occur automatically after lengthy storage in air. PA 6 sheets have high strength, rigidity, abrasion resistance, impact strength and notched impact strength. Polyamide sheet also has high heat distortion resistance, good slip and emergency running properties. PA6 sheets are resistant to hydrocarbons (aliphatic and aromatic), diluted alkalis, alcohols, oils or greases.
Polyamide sheet has the following advantages:

Processing
PA 6 has very good machining properties and can also be processed in other ways. PA6 can be processed in numerous ways, e.g. turning, milling, sawing, drilling, punching, welding, thermoforming.
