Description

Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), also known as clear acrylic sheet or Plexiglass, is a structural, completely transparent material. The light weight of PMMA sheets allows them to be installed in places requiring light construction. In addition, due to the lightness of Plexiglass boards compared to glass, it is possible to use thicker panels without adding extra weight. The proven resistance of plexiglass plates to atmospheric influences guarantees the long life of the clear acrylic plates. Clear acrylic sheets find similar applications to those of glass but are used in areas where their processing advantages and light transmission are preferred. PMMA’s ease of processing is a major plus, and the fact that it lends itself to bending means that much more complex shapes can be achieved without much effort. Clear acrylic boards are chemically resistant and suitable for the food industry.
