Description
Glass fiber rope (Heat-insulating rope), also known today as round-section glass packing, is knitted of glass fibers and is intended for thermal insulation at high temperatures up to 550 °C. Reinforced fiber glass braided rope can be strengthened with steel thread, which gives it additional strength and stability when applying. Glass rope is hard and has high tensile strength. The glass fiber ropes have high flexibility, which brings excellent sealing qualities. Fiber glass braided rope can be used without limitation when working with steam, inert gases, limited solvents. The round glass rope does not rot and is not affected by bacteria extending its life and making it a durable long-term solution. An alternative to the glass braided ropes are the glass fiber packings, which have similar qualities but differs in the shape, as the former is produced in square cross-section.
