Description
Foam rubber sheet is an insulating material based on elastomeric rubber, with a closed cell structure. It can be coated with aluminum foil, self-adhesive or uncoated. The thermal insulation foam rubber has good thermal insulation and very high elasticity. The foam rubber sheet is highly resistant and stable to all weather conditions and prevents bacteria and mould from forming up. In addition, the sponge rubber sheeting is UV and ozone resistant. The sponge rubber sheet has good tear and puncture resistance. Expanded rubber sheet has good resistance to oils and resists all weather conditions. One of the main benefits of expanded rubber is its softness – solid technical rubbers would have hardness of 75 on the Shore scale, foams and sponges are softer and measure around 15 on Shore, but can be delivered at different hardness upon request. These soft rubber materials can be used to seal anything from car doors to hand-held electronics. Foam EPDM rubber and other expanded polymers have a wide compression range – this means more tolerance is allowed between sealing faces.
