Description
Fiberglass tube is a very good insulator of high-voltage units and aggregates. Fiberglass tubes are made of non-alkali glass fiber and epoxy resins and their varieties. The glass roving tube is made by winding glass fibers on a mandrel bonded with epoxy resins. Fiberglass reinforced plastic tubes are produced by the method of “wet filament winding” with different internal diameter, wall thickness as desired and length up to 2300 mm. FRP tubes can be produced in round, square or other cross-section and can also be reinforced to obtain high bending strength. Fiberglass tubes are radio permeable, do not heat up from high frequencies and have small dielectric losses.
