Description
Expanded graphite packing is woven from glass filament coated with pure expanded graphite. Thanks to the properties of expanded graphite, this packing is chemically resistant and suitable for high temperature applications. It has self-lubricating properties and good thermal conductivity. It has a wide range of uses and is used where Cotton-PTFE packing and other compression packings are not suitable due to the temperature range. Another benefit of the expanded graphite is its speed durability allowing it to be used in versatile conditions. Expanded graphite packings are recommended for working in water, steam, oils, solvents, salts, acids and alkalis conditions. Expanded graphite compression packing is not recommended for work with strong oxidizers, liquid metals and in abrasive environments.
