Description
Ceramic fiber tape is made from a yarn consisting of ceramic fibers and a small amount of organic filaments. The ceramic yarn is reinforced with chrome-nickel filament (Inconel) to achieve better mechanical strength and to allow for high temperature applications. The ceramic fiber tape is high-temperature and heat-insulating, and its maximum operating temperature is 1200 °C. The tape is an analogue of the asbestos tape known and used in the past. The ceramic tape can be replaced by ceramic fiber cloth in places where greater width is required. Fireproof ceramic tape is an excellent thermal barrier due to its low thermal conductivity, making it excellent for fire protection.
