Description
Ceramic fiber board (ceramic sheet) is a thermal insulation in the form of plates, produced from ceramic fibers and binders formed by a pressing process. Ceramic plate has excellent resistance to high temperatures, divided into 2 categories – resistant to 850 °C and 1000 °C. Ceramic board is fragile, but extremely easy to mold when wet with water. Ceramic fiber board insulation cardboard has excellent insulation properties, resistance to thermal shock and low thermal conductivity. Ceramic sheets are easy to process with standard tools. Ceramic fiber boards are press formed products that resist higher gas velocities than ceramic fiber blankets and ceramic fiber paper.
Benefits of the ceramic board are:
- High rigidity and light weight.
- Low thermal conductivity.
- Resistant to thermal shock and gas erosion.
- Easy to cut and handle, mechanical flexibility.
- Resistant to non-ferrous metals.
Areas of application
- insulation of high temperature furnaces
- molten metal removal systems
- pipelines with uneven and curved surfaces leading away hot gases
- suitable material for trimming garnishes
- furnace linings
- solid high temperature seals
- heat shields
- high temperature deflectors and restrictors
- refractory lining for industrial furnaces.
- lining of combustion chambers, boilers and heaters.
- safety insulation for monolithic refractory materials.
- transfer of non-ferrous metals.
- expansion joint sheets.
- fire barrier
- others
