Description
Heat shielding fire sleeve is fabricated from a dense E-glass fiberglass with a thick coating of self-extinguishing high temperature silicone rubber which is engineered to protect hoses, cables and wire harness from damage due to exposure to extreme heat, open flame and molten splash. The silicone coated fiberglass sleeving expands slightly for easy installation but is tough and flexible to for use in tight radius applications at the same time without cracking and fracturing under pressure. The fire sleeving is engineered to guarantee greater strength, weather resistance and great mechanical protection. The silicone braided fiberglass sleeve resists dielectric breakdown caused by operational stresses. It also provides a high degree of insulation value, protecting hot, cold or cryogenic lines, pipes and tubing from heat or cold loss, providing energy savings and abrasion resistance even at low temperatures. Thanks to the silicone coating, the heat shielding fire sleeve is resistant to common chemicals, inorganic acids and alkalis.
