Description
Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic material with a semi-crystalline structure. Polypropylene sheets have high resistance to chemicals, salts, acids and bases. It is for this reason that polypropylene boards are considered an excellent alternative to acid-resistant steel. PP plates have high degree of stiffness and strength at room temperature, as well as low moisture absorption coefficient. For this reason, polypropylene sheets are a good choice for mechanical and structural applications. PP sheets have higher strength, higher hardness and higher melting point compared to plastics such as Polyethylene (PE).
